Modernism/Posternism

Modern “philosophy” is more thought to be as in the beginning sometime during the “Renaissance”, which is a “philosophy” that shows the new foundations for knowledge that was given as an affirmative, alternative to that provided by the ancient “philosophers”. Premodernism, modernism, and postmodernism can be described as a unique philosophical systems, which are three very unique ways of viewing the world. The differences are represented best in their epistmologies. Each of these philosophical approaches has very different ways of looking, and understanding the world. But these differences should never be reducted down to a merely difference in “epistemology”. There many differences which go beyond what can be covered and found in the modernism and the postmodernism world.

The first “epistemology” of the premodern period, that was based upon the controlled formative knowledge from other relevant sources. In the premodern times they believed that the Ultimate Truth could be known and also that the only way to this direct known information is through “direct revelation”. This “direct revelation” was accordingly to assume to come from “God” or a “god” itself. Additionally the primary authority source in the premodern times were revealed to be the church, being the “holders and interpreters”.

In Modernism two different approaches were to known as to become very overpowering in the modern time. First it was “empiricism” (the knowing through the senses) which slowly started to grow into the scientific “empiricism” or modern science, which is the growing of modernist “methodology”. “Epistemological”, was the second approach of this period of time, which was reason or logic science and the reasons were often the “collaboratively” or in “conjunction” between each other. However the sources authority, were the universities and, scholars, professors, who took over the lead of the being the primary sources of authority.
