Identity

Identity can be created by how we see ourselves and how we think about other people and also how we look at other people. For years, “the first psychological theory of identity being was created by William James, in 1890”psychologists have concluded that this research into this area is in order to understand how people understand the world and how they go about their lifestyles. Till this very day there are so many different approaches to identity, which can be Cultural identity, Gender identity, Sexual identity, Religious identity, racial identity, Class identity and many more.  The best way to define identity is a distinctive character that belongs to any given unique individual, or a particular social category or group shared by all members. Gender identity plays an important role part of identity in psychology, because it indicates to a specific degree how an individual should view him or herself both as a person and in a common relation to other people, ideas and nature. I believe Identity is a very useful sense of life, as it allows one to specifically notice someone due to how they look, talk, dress, smile or even walk, if the sense and the term of identity never existed, I believe the people in world, would be very dull and senseless as we would not be able to communicate with each other because there is no sense of identity there.
